12/13's vs. Bayville Falcons   Result: W 21-0

Game Details:
The pre-game warm-up night began with a ceremonial sledgehammer ritual led by running back Ryan Rossi. The Warriors were pumped as they followed him to the 20-yard line while he held a large, orange sledgehammer and there was something about the moment when he slammed the hammer into the ground that told us that the team was prepared for a defensive-highlighted victory!
The Falcons received the ball first and the Warriors defense stopped them on a three and out. Notable tackles were made Tyler Regnier and Brian Bautista during this stop and throughout their possessions that followed. During their second offensive series, the Warriors featured a 68-yard touchdown run by Ryan Rossi. On the next possession, Bruce Gibbs would go for 50 yards on a screen pass by quarterback Jake Mellen capped off by a 42-yard touchdown run once again by Ryan Rossi. Nick Spillane kicked for a two-point conversion and the score was 14-0. Cornerback Ray Catapano sealed the half on defense with an interception.
In the third quarter, the Warriors defensive effort would hold strong stopping the Falcons on fourth down as they threatened to score. The next offensive series for the Warriors would feature fullback Peter Militano with a 20-yard run setting up Ryan Rossi for his third touchdown of the night from 10 yards out bringing the score to 21-0.
The entire Warriors defense on the field in the fourth quarter comprised of Brett Campos, Conor Colasurdo, Angelo DiPierno, Michael Dominguez, Matt Dluginski, Deon Emery, Lorenzo Gisonda, Martin Golden, Larry Kroez, Ryan Platovsky and Gary Roes would shut down the hungry Falcons offense from at the 15-yard line as they threatened to score once again. A 50-yard pass from Ray Catapano on the rollout under duress to Jack Esposito highlighted the next offensive possession for the Warriors. The Falcons would get the ball one last time and begin their march down the field with under two minutes left, but that effort was halted by safety Kyle Bourne’s shoestring tackle to cap off the night filled with an outstanding defensive team effort!
Congratulations to the Warriors players and coaching staff, as you boost your record to 3-0. The next game will be on Sunday, October 4 at Glen Cove at 5:00 PM. We will once again be watching with pride!

11's vs Inwood  Result: L 21-6

Game Details:
The Warriors 11year olds at 3-0 ran into the Inwood Buccaneers at 3-0. Only one team could come out undefeated. The Inwood team was riding a 2 year undefeated, back to back league champions streak, and their streak continued again with a 28-6 win against the warriors.
The Warriors would move the ball against the Buccaneers, but Inwood would prove to be bigger, stronger and faster than the Warriors this week. Tough hard nose running by Angelo Cona, Tyler Davis, Amari Reyes and Pat Dercola got yardage all day but came up short on a drives. The only touchdown of the day was for the fourth consecutive game in a row quarterback Michael Catanese hit tight end Joey Filardo with a 20 yard touchdown pass to put up the 6 points.
The defense for the warriors was not good this past week allowing a touchdown on the very first play of the game. The brigt spot on the defense this week was turned in by Anthony Millan. He intercepted a pass at the 10yard line and ran the ball back for a 70 yard return brfore being tackled out of bounds.
